A BabyYarnoz Xmas Eve!

(yes... this post is delayed... it has been a whirlwind 48hrs)

So last night was a whirlwind.  I was post call from the weekend, and didn't get home until noon. The DQ took the kids to the Aquarium.  We met for lunch (at our new family eatery... Ruby Tuesdays!) and then went home.

After the Kizzles had a 3 hour nap (!!!!), the BY Xmas was on.

Everyone got lined up.

Time to open gifts.  Kemper was the leader!

Mila got in on the act...  "Y is for Yarnoz!!!"

Time for Octopusses... er... Octopi?

Coco gets his Train...
(Editors Note:  the Dude really is not photogenic.  I need to use the Sports setting and snap like 20 pics to get on that is even remotely close to good)

"OMIGOSH!  Is that a TENT?!"

Some assembly required!

This tent was like baby-crack.  They were wide open for 30minutes.  Photos really do not do it justice.  I will have to upload video.

Almost time for bed.  We've got our PJs on... Have to leave the Reindeer food outside!

Have to test to make sure that the cookies are good for Santa!

Merry Christmas

The BY Universe Master Plan

So, we here in BY Universe try to lead by example.

We take the team chaos on tours, quietly promoting birth control. We try to live green, now with our solar panels. We promote baby signing time with our superior intelligence.

And now we another example that we are advancing our heritage.

Sent from my iPhone, this is the daily email from our school.

Well our Christmas treats week has come to an end. Today’s treat was hot chocolate. For art today, we colored pre-cut mugs and added real hot chocolate and marshmallows. During group today, we were able to taste the real thing. We all sat in group and enjoyed a cup of warm hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream before we went outside. Doesn’t that sound so good? Not only does it sound good it tasted good as well. We also sang Christmas songs while we were waiting for our hot chocolate.

When we came back in from outside we did our show and tell. We always have such cool things to share with our friends. After show and tell we read a book that our friend Kemper brought in called “Cajun Night Before Christmas”. All of our friends enjoyed the story. (Especially me trying to use my Cajun accent)This afternoon we will sing more Christmas songs and discuss what our favorite Christmas treat are.

Have a great weekend everyone.

So there you have it. Another shining example of how BY is quietly taking over the world!!!

A BY Ornament Obituary

We here in BY Universe are deeply saddened by the passing of Pinnochio. He was a good ornament, lasting in the Yarnoz house for almost 5 years.

Details of his demise are sketchy. But our crack reporters were on the scene. It appeared to be a gruesome leg injury.

Pinnochio is survived by Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Santa Claus, a ballerina, and Rudolph.

The BabyYarnoz Express

So this past Satuday, the DQ came up with a brilliant idea... "There is a reading of The Polar Express at the Railroad Museum at 430 this afternoon.  We should go!"

You're right... I thought... We should!  Especially, since the DQ got the book for the Pizz... and she's been "reading" it every night!  (Although, she always prefaces her story with "We haven't read this one in a while!")

So, of course, we load up the clan and head off...  already running late because... well... that's what we do!  We head off downtown to find the museum... and we get lost!  Turns out with some of the newer renovations to the downtown area, there are closed streets and detours.  I was driving and the DQ was the "navigator"...  (Editors Note: already a doomed proposition for this one...  I get too stressed without knowing my turns 3 steps in advance... and the DQ... well...to politely put it... is not that way!)

We're turning around...  making U-turns across traffic.  ("Look kids!  Big Ben!!!")  Even the Pizz realized that we were going nowhere fast.

But then, somehow, by the grace of the Man upstairs, we find it!  Whew!!!  And we're not late... yet.  We park, rip out the kids, and race inside!

The DQ gets in there first.  "We're here for the reading!"  The lady at the desk looks at our motley crue... "Do you have reservations?!"

eeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....  what!?!  The DQ politely asks "No, we didn't know we needed them!"  "Of course you do honey!"  (Editor's Note:  Flash to the scene in National Lampoon's Vacation.  you guys know it! where the Grizwalds make it to WallyWorld, only to find out that it was closed.  Then Clark goes on a rampage, and takes the guard hostage!....  Well, I was turning into Clark.... Blood was pumping now.... Unfortunately my only weapon/hostage was the Cokes in my arms....  Damn dude is too cuddley to be a weapon!)

"Um... so what do we do?"  "Well, so and so called in sick, so you guys can make it in!"  Whew!  Hostage crisis averted...

So we were given tickets!  And went in!

The Pizz was super cute.  She sat right up in the front, with all the other kids, and listened intently to the story.  She was great.  The DQ, Twizzles, and I sat in the back, taking it all in.

Then, the story was over... and a surprise guest came!  Santa Claus!!!  He came in through the back door...  Everybody was excited...  The Pizz was too, but then got really scared and started screaming and crying.  The DQ dropped Mila in my lap and rescued the Pizzle from her terror... Poor girl.  We tried to calm her down to go sit on his lap, but she was not doing it!  So much for bringing the fancy camera!

So then, we hopped out the front door for some cookies and hot cocoa!  Ha ha ha... the Coco drank cocoa!  Ha ha ha...  After a while, the "museum" started clearing for the next reading... so we had to move out in a flash!!

Some of us didn't want to go!
All in all an eventful Saturday evening.

Who needs genetic testing?

I think he's a Yarnoz!!!

Poor sick Court....

Looking quite ill and so upset to be separated from his sisters.... Right?

Ornament Uh-oh's

Well, day 2 of a babyyarnoz Xmas tree is in the books.

Houston, we have a problem!!!

2 days in, and now, 3 ornaments down. Yesterday, a West Point glass ball was given its marching orders. Today, a Haiti ornament and an LSU baby received the wrath of the Kizzles.

Oh boy!!!

We realized this when we put the ornaments on the tree, with most of the breakables up high. But yet they still find a way!!!

At this rate, we might not even have a tree for Xmas!!!

Stay tuned!!!

It's Almost that Time of Year!!!

And that means that it is XMAS time here in BY Universe.

So the first order of business was to pick out a tree.  So, we bundled up the Kizzles and headed out to the local church to pick out a tree.

And there we were...

So I tried to sneak a pick of the crew....

But I was spotted by the Coco-man...

Uh - oh... he has a head full of steam!!!

(***humpf***  The next shot is of Coco going head first into my crotch... Oh well... I guess I don't need it anymore!)

But before we could put the tree together... we had to put the Twizzles down to bed!  Whew!  Too much chaos.

But then, it was on like Donkey-Kong!

The DQ and The Pizz sorting out the stash

The Pizz helping out, being the super big helper!

We're Done!!!

Oh wait, we forgot the skirt!  Hey, silly girl, its a tree skirt!!!

BY Weekend Update

Whew! We survived another BY weekend here in NC. I know I've been lax in my Editorial duties (thank you peanut gallery). But now I will turn to the iPhone and app to make the comeback.

Most of the weekend was spent coordinating naps, with interspersed outside time. We went to Fit for Fun on Saturday, working out some energy. Sat PM was the Editor's Xmas party, where too many libations were sampled.

Sunday, KP and the DQ went to church, while the Editor recovered. Then we got our Xmas on! ( that post to follow). Then we discovered how fun it was to play in leaves!!!

Whew

Is that James Bond, circa 2042?

Its Electric!!!
