Daddy Tries Something New
So this morning that the Editor woke up late. He woke up to find Mila and Kemper on the couch already watching kids channel. He knew is behind going to get breakfast ready
So I decided to try something new. An oldie but goodie. Quaker instant oatmeal.
I knew I couldn't just make it for them without them knowing what it was. This was an automatic decline. So I had to hook them into wanting it. I made two bags for myself: Apple cinnamon mixed with cinnamon. Mmmm good.
By this time Coco woke up and drudged downstairs to join his sisters on the couch. Just in time!
Now is time to try my invention on the Kizzles.
Mila: she looked at it, look at me, look back at the oatmeal, and shook her head violently NO.
Coco: looked at it, look at me, look at the oatmeal, looked at the spoon of oatmeal, took a taste of oatmeal, and then shook his head violently NO.
Kemper: looked at it, looked at me, looked at the spoon of oatmeal, took a taste of oatmeal, said yes.
Woo hoo! At least I got one; that's batting 300! So I begun the process of making oatmeal. I got a bag, ripped open, and had Kemper dumping it in the bowl. As I was walking the bowl to the microwave I realize my error: it was plain! Oh no! She certainly wasn't going to eat plain oatmeal. Now I was in trouble. She was hungry. So I grabbed the cinnamon bag. Now I am four bags of oatmeal in. So I made the oatmeal give it to Kemper eat she was satisfied.
Now, Coco looked at Kemper's oatmeal. He looked at me. They look longingly at the oatmeal. "I want oatmeal". So now I had to make another bag of oatmeal (that totals five). I dutifully did my daddy chore and I made another bag.

Telling now I was done. I had two kids eating out oatmeal, so hopefully my job was complete. I considered this a success.
Tap tap tap.
Tap tap tap.
Daddy I don't want me anymore says Coco. Really sad. Yes I want yogurt now. Oh boy. Kemper comes up yes I'm done to daddy, she has me a full bowl of oatmeal.
Now here I sit, watching three Yarnoz Kizzles eating yogurt. As I watch them I looked on my five bowls of oatmeal and realize I'm in for a long breakfast ahead of me!

Another Step in BY Parenting Magic!
So this past weekend, we had a a long day. Coco was getting tired but he did not take a nap. He was getting cranky. What would we do, I do not know.
What was the editor to do.
It was getting late, and if I put him down, the the whole evening off.
So I did the only thing I could do. I turned on the TV.
Changed one channel and then poof!!! NASCAR.
"Stop daddy I want to watch cars"
That was it!
One and a half hours later we were still sitting on the couch watching NASCAR.
Coco: "Daddy what's the white car doing." " Daddy was the red car doing" "Daddy where's the blue car". "Uh oh, that car got a boo boo, now he has to go to the doctor" " They're not going fast enough faster faster faster."
This went on for hours until he eventually passed out.
It looks like Saturday evenings want to be the same again.

Hopefully ... "and nice hands! Mila what are you guys doing!!"
(everything was going great. I was dictating this with Siri. Then all hell broke loose. Above was a direct dictation, live feed. So much for my relaxing noon experience!)
