A Belated Happy Mothers Day!

Well, it came and passed... Mother's Day Weekend 2010.

The First for the BY Universe...

And Daddy was working on call allllll weekend...

Alas....

But the Maine and The Pizz got to play all weekend in the Fortress!

So Happy Mother's Day!
The BY Universe salutes Charmaine aka the GC aka the DQ aka the Maine. I cannot think of any other woman who I would want to have as a role model for the Pizz.
A truly amazing, intelligent, beautiful, sarcastic, sexy, amazing woman for the Pizz to model herself on for years to come...
(except maybe the sexy part...)

International Package.... of ... Cuteness???

So, as many of you loyal BY viewers may know, this summer the Maine and I are taking the Pizz across the Pond to visit the homeland.

We're very excited, but as the days get closer... fear and apprehension is starting to creep in.
But that is not the story of today, my viewers! Oh No...

Today, is the story of the Pizz' Passport! (or, has I had wanted to call it... Passport to Cuteness!)

About 2 months ago, we realized that the Pizz needed this little document to get across the border. We knew we had to get it early and out of the way.

Before we went to the office, we were a little giddy with ourselves. We figured, for sure, that the Pizz' passport would be amazing. I mean she's the Total Cuteness Package. Plus, we were also buoyed by both of our passport photos, which are probably 2 of our best individual pictures ever....
See Exhibit A and B.

Deep down, I had visions of the three of us, being whisked through customs... with our beautiful US passports assuring us of rockstar like status... I mentioned this to the Maine... She didn't agree out loud, but I could see the wheels turning inside her head. She agreed.
So we took the Pizz, all gussied up to the Passport Agency to get her PtC! She was great (I cannot remember if I had blogged about it before... hmmm). She stayed upright long enough to get a photo... but then the thing was broken! oh gosh. Had to get the backup camera! (oh no!... I can see where this is going...) Photo number 2! Wha- la! Done. End of the day.
Until a couple of weeks ago. We get the "package" in the mail. I knew what it was, instantly before opening it! Yay, the PtC has arrived! I was so giddy as I tore open the envelope. The Maine peeked her head around the corner, and saw what I was doing... She knew what it was as well. She skipped downstairs to join my joy!
I open the envelope and pull out the passport... "Oooooohhh! New design... So modern... So cute!", as I stroke the outside.
"Open it you silly goose!" cackles the Maine.
We open.....
"aghast!!!!!" I shriek!!! Who is that!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! We stare dumbfounded at the photo in the passport. It sort of looked like our daughter. Possibly. But this rendition wasn't cute. Man, she looked like she was some poor orphan, trapped behind the Iron Curtain in some Eastern European country, begging you to adopt her. I think this pic came straight from one of those Sally Struthers commercials... I looked in my wallet for a spare dollar.
A tear came to my eye, as my dreams of rockstar customs status slowly left my head... The Maine sighed too...
I guess the Total Cuteness Package has kryptonite, and thy name is US Passport.

Before and After

It takes a lot of work being the Total Cuteness Package...

Case in point...

Exhibit A:
This AM, after her morning nap. The Yarnoz' hair curse... Everywhere!
So I go about combing... and combing...
and getting a damp towel...
and another...
and then start using the TCA's
A barrette here
A barrette there...
another barrette...
then ... finally... a masterpiece...
It takes a lot of work... and barrettes... to be cute...

Code Green!!!

So, the Pizz had been enjoying her new bathtub. It is nice to have all of her stuff in one place. She loves her small tub with all her toys. She seems to be getting comfortable in her new digs.

Almost too comfortable.

Today's bathtime, started out like any other... Daddy presents the naked baby to the warm tub water, admist a glowing fanfare of cheers...

and The Pizz plays with her toys, as Daddy tries furiously to clean all her nether regions, avoiding the splashing... He didn't realize he should be worried about other things....

After getting "ALLLLL CLEAN!", the Pizz was allowed to play with her toys and cups. A splish splash here... a cup there.

Then bubbles appeared.... Ha ha... I thought... just like her Daddy... and from a long line of Yarnoz genetics... forged in the mountains of Spain... She looked up at me, smiled, and kept on playing. I thought nothing of it. Turns out, it was a shot across the bow!

Next, came a little grunt... and then more bubbles.... ha ha... she's soo cute!

Then... came... the purple face ... (uh oh...) and then some grunting.... (UH OH!) and some serious straining. Then, she's done... back to playing... Hmmm... I think to myself... this isn't good. I look around for floating items... nothing. Whew! I'm safe. But I figure, I should just get her out to be safe....

I slide her rightward, so I can get a better grip.... a green streak is left behind on the bathtub floor.... oh crap! I lift her up... two sizeable green blobs were left in the tub. Oh god!

I pick her up, but then realize that I am not sure what is left on her backside... I can't just place her on the towel yet... oh gosh.... (The Maine is downstairs cooking dinner...)

I put her down, way over to the right side of the tub, to fully assess the situation. Then, the Pizz completes her evacuation with a grand Tee-Tee Esplosion! Great!

That's it... I think to myself... Time to call in for re-enforcements!

"Maine!!!! I need you!!!"

"What??" .... "Code brown.. CODE BROWN!!!"... er... "CODE GREEN!!!"

She comes upstairs and assesses the situation....

Guess who got to clean up the tub?

"I'm gonna wash that poop right outta my hair... I'm gonna wash...."

Daddy Daycare and the Fortress of Kemper-tude!

Well, after a brutal Friday for the KP's parental units, we were in for some good times during a Daddy Daycare weekend!
The Maine was on nights, and is battling through a cold, which got worse... and threw the weekend into a tizzy!
But then the Editor (aka the Proprietor of Daddy Daycare) developed a secure play area for the Pizz... away from sharp objects and Ham's doggy breath...

I call it: "The Fortress of Kemper-tude!"

This nice little Fortress allowed the Pizz to play, do AA and eat ... all weekend!

The eating station is the bouncer to the right of the picture. The Pizz feeds herself! (well, bottles for now)

It was lovely. The Maine was resting off her cold... the Pizz was playing... and the Editor was watching the NFL Draft! (of which, he it totally pumped up for the Bucs this season... too bad I can't watch it here... or maybe that is a good thing...)

The Pizz had a grand time, even when it poured all Sunday... she had no idea, all snug in her Fortress!

She even had time to pass out some cuteness for my camera

Gettin' The GM's Digits!

So, about 3 weeks ago the Maine decided she had had enough. She couldn't stand the GM's Digits! (the 30 year-old address numbers that were drilled into a pine tree in our front lawn.) So she went online to find some new ones... (unbeknownst to me!)

"Something cool and trendy!" she says...

"Uh huh"
Then, they finally arrived last week... Guess who had to figure out how to put them up....

Bill and Matt, our contractors??? Ha ha ... Very funny...

Me...

After a weeks worth of nagging, and pestering, and whining, I set out this weekend to put the new numbers up. This entailed using the circular saw, painting, and drilling... all under the watchful eye of the Maine! (talk about stressors!!!)
So then, this PM, the contraption is finally complete. All that was left was the ceremonial placement.
The whole BY family trudged out to the front yard.
Daddy worked feverishly at removing the 30 yearold marker.
The Maine and the Pizz played.
and then we were done!
Wha- la!

But that is not the best or secret part!
What was "cool and trendy" about these numbers is that they have little solar panels, which charge little LED lights...

Kemper Gets Her Own Bathroom

So, most of you loyal BY Followers probably know that for the last 7 months, we have been bathing the Pizz in our bathtub. It has been very easy to do, except for the fact that now we have 2 stations for baby changing and collecting baby stuff...

But it also has given us this classic pic...

Anyway, this past Monday the Maine was downstairs (I was working, trying to make money for Pizz's shoes!) and she heard a crash... She looked around everywhere to see what it was... The she went into our bathroom and saw that the shutters had fallen down, crashing into a couple of her pots and sending shards of clay everywhere!

(Editor's Note: Somehow the Maine and I are disasters when it comes to "green thumbs". She kills everything... and I really don't help much either... We kill cacti, for gosh sakes!!! We find new and interesting ways to harm greenery. Last Christmas, I set up the tree wrong and had it crash down, directly on top of one of our coolest plants... turning it into a plant pancake! Poor poor plants. Well, now we have shutters falling down, and killing another cactus! If you're a plant, you don't want to live with us. In fact, I understand why no one wants to live with us... (eh-hmm ... Mo!) It is totally amazing how Ham and the Pizz survives... Well, Ham eats cat poo and cats, so it is only amazing how the Pizz survives!)

Anyway, we tried to clean up the debris, but felt it was too unsafe to wash the Pizz. Where would we ever go? Oh, wait the nursery has its own bathroom.... I just had to take off the sliding glass doors, and waa-laa!!! instant Pizz-tub!

Perfect! Just the right size for the Pizz. Easy access to all her TCA's. The Maine loved it to, for she got to totally combine and reorganize all the Pizz's stuff.

A win-win situation all around! (and the GM slowly is grown into!)

Some Construction Notes

Hello, loyal BY Followers...

I have changed up the blog a little, to add more Cuteness and a bit of humor.

To the left of the blog, the sections have been rearranged with some additions. The BY Pic of the Week and the Editor's Pic of the Week will updated (hopefully) every Sunday...

As for the Snapfish account, I am working on updating and organizing the mountain of Total Cuteness Pics to easier perusal...

Enjoy!

Guest Blog from the artist formerly known as the DQ: Reflections on Life, Love, and Growing Up

Mike has been bugging me for a while to write a guest blog entry. For some reason, every time I sat down to write I was stumped -- and it's not like I don't have a lot of things to ponder. Maybe it was too much though.... my mind would scan and scan and never fall on one thing that really needed to be said.

But my very good friend, Sushma, just had her first baby (a girl) on Easter Sunday, and I've been thinking about her a lot and what she is going through right now.... after all, it was just a mere 7 ish months ago for us.

One thing that I realize more acutely now: you really do fall in love with your kid. I mean, it was overwhelming at first, the miracle of childbirth (even though I've seen it dozens of times), and I definitely felt the awe at the beginning. But then the maternal abuse begins q2-3 hours, and you sort of forget for a little while. But these last 3 or so months, I now realize, I have woken up every day excited to see my child. I just raced home from a night shift just to see her before she goes to day care, even though I pretended it was because I was just "sure" Mike (a full-service dad if I've ever seen one) would need help getting her ready.

This was never felt more than when I was in Haiti in February. I had not been there in a long 18 months (due to the rigors of pregnancy and then recovery from the delivery and then breastfeeding). These 18 months were filled with changes not only for me and my personal life (new city, new job, new house, new baby) but also for the Health Center (new second floor, new resident doctor, new ultrasound, new kitchen/chicken coop, then the tragedy of the January 11th earthquake). I had been missing my clinic -- this was the longest by far I had ever been in absentia -- and nothing, not even a massive earthquake and an adorable 6 month old baby, would keep me from there. Not to mention that in the days following the earthquake, I was in agony knowing that my status as a French/English/Kreyol-speaking doctor would have been in high demand there.

The bags were packed, the organic baby food made and frozen, the grandparents imported, and the charter plane was made. I remembered everything. It was only for 8 days, so I figured it would be no problem for me, or for Mike and Kemper. I bounced in a tiny plane with 4 colleagues over to earthquake-ravaged Haiti (another blog entry in itself), and nearly immediately missed Kemper. There was still breast milk to be pumped (Mike's blog about me not wanting to give it up in the end was true), but no joy from the Pizz. Thankfully the internet exists, and there were videos and e-postcards from Mike nearly every day. My clinic was doing awesome too, despite my absence and the earthquake. Like I never needed to be there at all. I walked around in a little daze was sorta sad about that at first, but it was eventually taken in stride, as half my heart was left at the Green Machine anyway.

So, after an wonderful and surprisingly relaxing 8 days there, followed by an exasperating delay home, I finally got back to the GM at 11 pm one night, and ran straight up to the nursery to hold my baby. Just like a crazy mama, one that I never thought to be. The next day I floated in limbo, not quite knowing what I needed to do.... the routine had changed when I was gone and I wasn't quite sure where I fit in anymore.

But this is the thing about being a parent, especially a busy parent -- you constantly hope that your little one's life won't be too disturbed when you are off doing other things, but then when you find out your absence was tolerated with just the smoothness for which you had hoped, you are mildly disappointed that you weren't missed more. It's a big lesson of humble pie -- and in February I had to learn it twice in 10 days.

So, I think I'm pretty much doomed to learning this lesson again and again. As Kemper grow and future BY's come along, my trips to Haiti will be more challenging. I assume the humble pies will get bigger and bigger, too. Add a side of parental and spousal guilt to that and it makes for a pretty stressful picture. But since I love my family, and I love Haiti (although both can seemingly survive without me) and I love working as a doctor, I just need to get used to it. I am the most fortunate woman in the world to even have my wonderful family, to have been blessed with the abilities to serve the Haitian people, and to have the opportunity to take care of patients. So I guess it's a good thing to be reminded from time to time to be thankful and humble for all of these great things.

I think Kemper is finally teaching me to grow up. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

The Secret Weapon!

Well, most of you loyal BY viewers probably know that Duke is your 2010 National Champion in Men's College Basketball (ahhh... what a nice ring!)

What most of you probably don't know is that the Dukie had a secret weapon at their disposal... a Secret Weapon of Cuteness!!! Yes, loyal BY viewers the famous Duke T-shirt nightgown!

But, you might ask yourself, how is this a Secret Weapon of Cuteness?!?!

Well, there is a great tale to this one.

It all started when we first dusted off the Duke Nightgown for use. It was for an early season Duke basketball contest. The Pizz donned the Nightgown... and the Dukies won.... hmmm....

But then came her Baptism... then Christmas... then life...

La di da...

Fast forward to this past Feb, when the Dukies were traveling to the hated Dean Dome to take on the crap Heels!! We needed an extra boost (since we had lost the last like 8 games to them), so we put on the Nightgown... Blammo! Duke Victory...

Are you getting the picture here? Good... somehow we didn't understand the power of the Nightgown just yet.

Then the last game of the season... Senior Night... the crap Heels at Duke... Put on the Nightgown for some extra boost... Wah-Lah! Another victory...

Hmm... we might be on to something here.

The ACC Tourney came... and with each game, the Nightgown came on... the Dukies rolled to the ACC crown! I looked at the Maine at the end of the tourney... do you think we have something here? Nah!

But, we trudged on... The tourney arrived, and for each Duke game the Nightgown was worn. It started to become the Secret Weapon of Cuteness.

But since she was usually in bed for all the games, stranger nuances to the SWC were developed... Before we put her to bed, we had to kiss the Duke emblem... Before the opening tip, we would run into her room, and gently kiss the SWC.... Before the start of the 2nd half, we would run into her room, and kiss the SWC... And then at the completion of another Duke Victory, we would kiss the SWC...

Clearly we had stumbled upon something great here. The Final Four arrived and the rituals were set in stone... (never mind the 3 tall Jack n' Cokes that the Editor had to drink to get through the game).... We made it to the Championship... Unbelievable...

Then Sunday morning, disaster.... Tee Tee Ess-plosion! Oh NO!!! She ess-ploded all over her crib and the SWC! Oh God, I thought... now the SWC was ruined... the mojo was gone forever.... Duke would lose.

I contemplated the options... have her wear the Tee-Tee SWC, trying to keep the mojo; forget the SWC and just have her wear a regular nightgown; or wash the SWC and hope the mojo is not washed away. I agonized over the options. So did the DQ. We didn't know what to do. Surely we couldn't have her wear a soiled nightgown. But this was the SWC and the National Championship!!! OH the Horror!

I made an executive decision. I voted for washing the SWC and re-wearing, hoping the mojo would hold.

Around halfway through the second half last night, I seriously regretted my decision. I was killing myself over it... Had to make my 2nd round of tall Jack n' Coke to get through.

But somehow the SWC stayed true... and the Dukies won a nailbiter. All due to the SWC... whew!

I am waiting for the Pizz's Championship ring in the mail.

The KP Photo Shoot

Since the weather was totally awesome this weekend, the wife (still haven't come up with another name for the old DQ yet...) and I decided to take advantage...

One way to do so was to do a KP Photo Shoot outdoors! Taking the cuteness on parade for the purpose of documentation.

So we spent about an hour trying to pick out the cutest enseamble for the Pizz. Most of her really cute dresses were just a wee bit too big! Alas. But we finally settled on a totally cute outfit... with huge Cuteness Accessories!

Then we set out to find the perfect location in the park!

And then we were off...

"Dainty Cuteness"

I call this one "Blue Steel Cuteness"

"Awwww..."

Will post more on the snapfish account sooon.

"Happy Easter!!!"

Cuteness Goes on Tour!

So, the First Annual BY Universe Layin' Up Weekend, wasn't totally spent layin' up....
I mean, what did you expect? (Look who I married)

Sunday was the day (or morning out!). We got the Pizz all cuted up and then got our God on...
Then breakfast....
(where the big girl got to sit in the big girl chair!)

Then.... shopping....

All the Total Cuteness Package went forth and dished out some heavy doses of cuteness...

"Would you like a side of Cuteness with your French Toast?"

The Closing-out of the DQ

Well, times here are a-changin'!

Seems that one of the unfortunate things that comes with the advancement of the Pizz's diet is the decline in Sauce production. It is so sad. The DQ's is closing up shop.

For weeks she had moaned about producing the sauce. How she couldn't wait to be done with it. How it was too painful. How she couldn't deal with lugging the Madonna Pump around.

But funny things happen when the end is drawing near. Ol' DQ gets nostalgic... Yup. Seems she couldn't put the sauce producers away just yet. Poor poor girl!

Also, the angst of winding down production has affected the DQ in other ways. Namely, for those of you who know the Maine, when she gets anxious or angry, what does she do?

Oh, yes.... she organizes...

Seems the Pizz's closet has just been nagging the Ol' DQ just too too much. She couldn't handle having the 1 y old outfits next too the 3 mo old dresses. (Oh gosh!) Nope. Not the jackets near the pants.... (Oh My!!!)

Seems just was just waiting to find an excuse to organize the closet. Then, one day, while surfing the Internet (and not guest blogging on the BY Universe... how dare she!?!?!) she found them. Labels. But not any old labels, very special baby labels, designed for organizing baby clothes. Wow!

So now the Pizz has a supremely organized closet! If she ever wanted to go back and wear her 3mo old outfits, she knows exactly where to look!

"While the DQ organizes, the Pizz continues to pass on the cuteness!"

First Annual BY Layin' Up Weekend!

Well, last night The Pizz got to wear her lucky nightgown to spur on the Dukies to victory.

In honor of that, and the fact that her parents had a long, stressful workweek, this weekend has been christened the First Annual BY Layin' Up Weekend.

We have many activities scheduled for this weekend. Including: laying on the couch, napping, drinking sauce (all 3 varieties), sitting outside, napping, watching TV, petting Ham, taking pics of the Pizz, oogling the wonderful weather, working on the Blog, and sleeping some more... not necessarily in that order....

All to celebrate Layin Up!

Ahhhhhhhh

Bustin' Out of Jail

As all of you loyal BY viewers can attest, the Pizz is growing and developing at a tremendous rate. Her newest thing, over the last month or so, is turning over and pre-scooting. So much so that when we put her down to nap in her crib, she is never in the same position when we return.

To which, the DQ and I have been commenting on how we needed to lower the crib... lest the Pizz break free of her confines and break something else...

So finally, today we rectified the situation. Sort of.

It started off very simply. The Pizz did a hefty dose of spittoon in her bed during her late PM nap (She didn't take to the Daylight Savings switch so well... blegh!!!) The DQ took the Pizz away to clean up and then downstairs to prepare for her dinner. This left the Editor in charge of the crib-cleaning. Great! Since I had to rip off some sheets (which are a royal pain in the arse to change!) I figured I'd lower the mattress... Great!

I took off the bumpers... then the spittoon sheat... then pulled out the mattress (whew, really not soft... wow!) Then saw the crib directions in a nice, neat folder on top of the mattress board. (Wow, that DQ thinks of everything!!!) I re-read the directions and figure out how to detach the board. Then I lower it and reattach. (All of this while running downstairs to see the Tournament Brackets being announced!) Then put the mattress back on.

The Pizz is by now finished with her dinner and ready for her bath. The DQ arrives in the nursery with the Pizz and pawns her off on me. (I loooooove bathtime!) I dance off the with Pizz for bathtime, leaving the DQ to finish the crib.

Bathtime was completed seamlessly... but not before the Pizz wanted to streak the house! I, being the wonderful father I am, decided that was not a bad idea.... Thus we continued our routine of nightly BabyStreaking... (this includes a nice BabyMoon to both the DQ and the Ham...) What is BabyStreaking, you might ask... well... picture Will Farrell from Old School... but with the Pizz inside the GM... (usually with the Editor running around the house, screaming 'We're going streaking!!! Wooo hoooo' She loooooves it!!!)

Now the Pizz is ready for her new bedtime. The DQ is finished and I bring her to bed. I put her down, noticing how much lower I have to stoop to place her in the crib. 'Hey, babe, where are the bumpers?' 'Oh, she doesn't need them now... She also could use them to climb out...' ... 'Ok'

So we put the Pizz down to bed and go downstairs to the kitchen. I to my Brackets and the DQ to preparing the dinner. (ahhhh) Then the Pizz cries... argh... I go in and plug her... Nothing too exciting... just crying in her bed.

I go back to the kitchen and chat with the DQ. About 10 min later, the Pizz starts crying again. 'Hmm. Maybe we'll let her cry this one out....' 5 min later... still crying.... 10min... still crying, with some semblance of amplification... 15min later.... crying continues... 'Damn, I'll go plug her again!'

I drudge upstairs. I get up to her room and open the door. I look in, peering through the dark shadows.... Hmmm... I see something moving on the side of the crib... what is that? My eyes adjust to the light... Wow!

I see two legs sticking through the slat openings in the crib. Wailing and kicking away with the high pitch screams of my daughter. The Pizz was trying to break free. Seems I had caught her in the act. I start laughing.... 'Maine, you have to see this....'

She comes upstairs.... 'I think we need those bumpers.'

'Yup... I think we do'

"So close to freedom... yet so far!!!"

K-Pizz and G Funk!

Well, last weekend, La-La made an impromptu visit to the lovely Green Machine... and she did not come alone....

She brought Grayson, The Pizz's cousin. However, since this was her first visit to the GM and the BY Universe, she needed a gift. A name fitting for the BY Universe.... and so she became the G-Funk!

And the camera snapped away...

Pizza was eaten on Friday (it's Lent, of course)... Then on Saturday we went to the beach....
and it was cold and windy...

The Pizz had to bundle up... while the grownups drank Parental Sauce to keep warm....

And then there was more time for pictures!!!

Total Cuteness Accessories

Well, for her birthday, the K-Pizz got a present....

Barrettes!!!

(or as we call them in the BY Universe.... Total.... Cuteness.... Accessories!!!!)

You might ask: how can the Total Cuteness Package get even cuter?

Well, take a look!!!

To Cut or Not to Cut

This is the question... and it seems to be the first major argument in our raising of the Total Cuteness Package... (if we really do fight...)

Ever since the KPizzle was born, I have had visions of that mop of hair and the Total Cuteness Pigtails and Ponytails that could be had. I figured this cuteness vision would be in short order... probably before her 1st birthday!

Oh she would be sooooooooooooooooooooo cute!

But now it seems that the DQ has been cutting her hair behind my back!!! All in the name of "expressing the cuteness!" Hmmm... she just let it slip about 30 mins ago... I was apoplectic!!!!

Unbelievable... did we not learn anything from the tail of Sampson and Delilah!?!?!?

If it was the right thing to do, why was she sneaking behing my back???

All this time, I thought the hair was getting longer and becoming more manageable... allowing her new Total Cuteness Accessories to have full effect... (this was going to be a post, but has now been pushed back a few....)

So what do I do, BY Universe?

"Are you telling me I could lose my power of cuteness???"

What Goes In...

So, I've been meaning to post this one for a while now but keep forgetting...

We here at Baby Yarnoz have slowly been advancing the Pizz's dinner time menu. It started in December with rice cereal. The Pizz had now idea what this solid schmutz was on her tongue, but it definitely wasn't the Sauce! She would push it out with her tongue and cry like the dickens!!! But this didn't last long... the DQ's perseverance paid off, and the Pizz began eating like a champ.

Rice cereal turned into oatmeal. Then there were peas... and carrots... and squash... and sweet potatoes... and bananas... and apples... and pears.... you get the picture. The most recent addition was mango just the other day.

The Pizz eats it all down like a champ! In fact, practically the only time the Pizz cries these days is when you are not feeding her fast enough. Seriously. Dinner time is now a stressful endeavor. As soon as you put her in the highchair, you better be ready to feed. She inhales it. You sit there feverishly shovelling it in her mouth, just to keep her quiet! Next thing you know, the food is gone... she is full ... and you are spent..... collapse in a sweaty heap!

Now this lovely change in our daughter's eating habits has produced a not so lovely change in the after effects!!!! What goes in....

Must... come.... out!!!

It has been an eye, and nostril, opening experience!!!! All the colors of the rainbow go in, travel through the small innerds of the Pizz, and wind up in the diapers. Whhhhhhhhhhhhewww! It's amazingly odoriferous! No more Tapioca for Daddy... Now the new foods just pass right through... Some (sweet potatoes) don't even look like get digested. (The first time I changed her diapers after some sweet potatoes, I though the DQ was playing a joke on me and just scooped some directly into her drawers... nope)

During all of this, the Pizz is still passing out cuteness... and some giggles too. It is almost like she knows the stink she created and is laughing at us.
