The BabyYarnoz Universe revisits Potty Training!

It's been a while since I mustered up some energy to post. But this topic surely deserves one. 

For the better part of the past month, we've been trying to potty train the twizzles. It's definitely not as easy as KP. I figured the Twizz would be twice as hard, but is much much worse. Trying to train two is exponentially harder, try squared (time I finally used my engineering degree for something!  Ita and wowo should be proud). We tried the original technique that we did with Kemper, going every half hour. Unfortunately, the Twizz didn't want to go at the same time, or wanted to sit on different chairs!  So, was individual. Each took 20-30 mins on the chair, so by the to I was done with one (unsuccessfully of course) it was time for the other. Needless to say I never left the bathroom all day! This lasted one day. 

So we gave up for a while, until daycare rescued us, again.  Mila, it seems, is getting guilt tripped into using the potty!  Yay for peer pressure!!!  So, we're going forward again. Coco, meanwhile, is insistent on using the diaper. 

Other highlights from the past month:

🔹In our giddiness over Mila pottying, we wet out and got pink princess pull-ups. Mila promptly was allergic to them, getting massive welts all over her legs. The one time we go against the environment, Mila suffers!!!

🔹Coco sometimes insists on wearing Dora panties too. (I should stop allowing it)

🔹 Sometimes Mila is "too busy" to stop and us the potty. Much to our chagrin

🔹The book Sleeping Beauty is now Sleeping Doodie!

🔹We have dusted off the "Waterpoop Panties". These are waterproof outer liners to wear over panties. KP used them like a champ!

🔹The Queen and I went on a 2 day sabbatical while LaLa watched the Kizzles. We came back to tales of wondrously clean panties, even sleeping in them at night. That first night back,Mila left a horrific #3 in her panties ("Welcome back daddy!!!")  I had to turn on all the lights to wipe every little crevice.  Whew

🔹One day at daycare, Coco realized that Mila had to go potty. He kept insisting to the teachers that she had to get her diaper changed and to bring her to the changing table. Ha!

🔹 It is definitely true that girls are faster developing. Coco is perfectly content to ask for a diaper when he has to go. He had no interest in making deposits. 

🔹We inherited a singing potty chair, which we first thought didn't sing anymore. Then it woke up. No it sings at everything, even at random times in the middle of the night. I think it is haunted by the Ghost of Poopies Past!

🔹KP tries to be all "big sister" and help Mila. She even used one of my old techniques and have Mila squeeze her fingers!

🔹Mila does have body awareness; she can tell when she's ready. She'll sit on the pot and announce "it's coming down, Daddy!"  Sure enough it does!

🔹Whew!  The next evolution in BY. Our washing machine is loving not having to work every morning!

It's the most quiet, alone time he's had in weeks!!!  He might never leave. (Still no success at potty training, though!)

Homemade Pizza Time

So we here in BY Universe have grown a lot of matoes recently. Buckets of matoes. Boatloads of matoes   You get the picture. 

We just needed something to do with them. Then the MQ (will try out new name of Master Queen for the DQ. Since there hasn't been any D for a good couple of years) comes up with an idea. Homemade pizza!

Awesome idea!  We love pizza!

So we picked all the ripe matoes, and cooked them down to make a sauce. 

Then we went to grocery store to get supplies. 

Then we picked out our ingredients for each pizza. 

Sometimes it was tough to save the toppings for the pizza. 

Then we wait!!

Then we're ready to eat!!!

However, after this Herculean effort, no Kizzle wanted to eat!  Much to the MQs shagrin, and to the Editors gustatory delight!

Needless to say we will not be reproducing this any time soon!

Evolution

Once upon a time, we lived like this ...

Slowly we have grown, to the point where it was time to leave our high chairs. 

And start a construction project!

So, the other day, Mo took Kemper food shopping while Daddy cleaned the house. (Twizzles were napping)

Turns out food shopping, also meant toy shopping!!!

Mo got KP a new book as well. 

This on might be a problem for The Editor.
