Lego Daddy?
So, the other day the Queen bought Coco a new Lego set. It came down to a decision between a Farmer Lego set or a Policeman Lego set.
Well, the deciding issue came in the form of a certain Lego man, who happened to “look like Daddy”…
hmmmm… Is this the new story of my life?

Daddy’s Day!
Well, another Daddy’s Day has officially come and now going. The Kizzles have been nestled, all snug in their beds with hope that the TickleMonster soon won’t be there. (Editor’s Note: As I have been editing this, the Mila Monster has taken to roaming the halls again… back to pre-tonsillectomy days!!! alas!)
It has been an amazing 5 years! Sometimes I just sit back and wonder…
But it really has been even longer than that. I distinctly remember sitting in a small church at this time 6 years ago. We were still in a massive state of shock. Maine was probably a bit more so, being supremely anemic and all. I was just thankful that she was still upright. We were millions of miles away from the BY Universe, the Editor or the DQ/Queen.
A truly amazing ride!
And now for my gifts of cards!
Oh yes!
I’m baaaaaack!

The Next Generation of Blogosphere
So, we’ll see how this goes. As you probably know, I haven’t been putting much on the blog recently. I have been swamped recently. Also the blogger website is problematic for uploading texts and pics, which bogs me down.
So, this is the new evolution. Hopefully my microsoft live writer will allow me to blog away without issues and problems.
Here is an attempt at posting a pic.
Is this the next evolution of the BY Universe?

Happy 4th Mother's Day from BabyYarnoz! From the DQ
since it's essentially about me. And Mike was working so he wasn't
there to witness the awesomeness.
We squeezed quite a bit into this Mother's day weekend, especially
since my ServeHAITI friends were visiting for our annual Board of
Directors' meeting. But not only that happened, Lala also surprised
us with a last-minute visit!
This meant one special occasion: Mother's Day mass with my mom.
Of course, in my mind this was going to mean an hour of peace and
quiet to sit next to Mom while the kids played in the free daycare at
church. But since the Pizz has become a big girl, and Mila wants to
be just like her, I dutifully hauled just Coco to the play room. But
no! At the last moment he says "Where's Mila?" and stuck out his lower
lip. So off to church we went.
The problems with three toddlers in mass is obvious: toddlers do not
like to be quiet, sit still, and they have tiny bladders. This was a
recipe for disaster. If I had planned for three small children in
mass, I would have brought a few options for entertainment.
But I'm happy to report that we had a Mother's Day Miracle, or my kids
are just that good. Because with nothing more than a few post-it
notes, 2 pens, a book written in French, a paper clip, and one leather
glove I managed to keep them in line. Hooray! And no one even had to
pee. I feel like I've arrived as a parent.
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms, almost moms, and every other sorta
maternal person out there!

Tonsil Wars: Episode 5- The Tonsils Strike Back
What a stressful 2 weeks that has been! Just when the BY Republic had thought they had vanquished Mila's tonsils forever, they strike back with a vengeance!
It was punishing.
There were tears, drugs, and popsicles! Ice cream and pudding. Soup. And this was all for The Editor! (ah, I digress)
Man the Mila Monster was in rough shape. There were days where she would prance around like nothing happened, buoyed by the q3h alternation of motrin and Tylenol. Then there were days where she was a menace! She went on a hunger strike! Didn't eat or drink anything due to the pain. Times when the Queen and I had to hold her down and inject meds into the back of her throat to get them (partially) down.
She would walk around with her lovie in her mouth, or sometimes not. Always drooling feverishly like Jabba the Hut! She would pace the halls at night again, screaming and crying in pain. I wanted to curl up inside a TonTon's intestines and sleep for days.... but alas, I could not.
The Queen had it worse. She had to keep her all day!
Fighting the Tonsils took a toll on the BY revolution. We lost some good Zzz's out there. Coco tried to use the Force to help, but to no avail. The Editor changed roles from Lando to Han Solo, but could never figure out which fit right! (Maybe Chewbacca!)
Sometimes we would mount up in the Milennium Falcon, just to drive around. Still the Tonsils found us!
The Force is strong in this one
At the end of Episode 5, it looked like we were forever doomed to the Tonsil Empire!

Angels on Horseback
This was one of those moments...
Last night, the Queen made excellent homemade mashed potatoes. They were the purple potatoes and she leaves the skin/rinds in... (for extra fiber for the Editor! I can't get enough!!!). Also, the though (as I found out later) that the purple coloring would make for an alluring Kizzle dinner.
Well, the Kizzles weren't having it tonight. (Which meant more for the Editor, since these were phenomenal!)
But in order to get to desert (which was equally phenomenal homemade carrot cake!) each Kizz had to clean their plate. (Tonights dinner also included meatloaf, a staple in the Editor's childhood!) This included a spoonful of mashed potatoes.
Each Kizz tried the potatoes....
Mila didn't get it on her fork....
Coco got a bite to his tongue and spit it out... "yucky!"
Pizz got a biteful in her mouth! "good girl! That's my big girl!" I turn away and hear a "wha-hack!" cough cough cough "whahack!!!" Oh my gosh what did she do... As I turn back around, and see that she has gagged and vomited back up the mashed potatoes on her plate...
Lovely!
Needless to say... she didn't get her desert!
(for those not in the know... picture this scene replayed about 30 years ago... Editor playing the role of the Pizz... and the role of mashed potatoes is played by an "angel on horseback"!!!.... To this day, I cannot eat an oyster....)
