Band Aid Battle
So tonight, I had a battle with Court over Band-Aids. He had a nonexistent boo-boo on his ankle and he had a meltdown when I said that he could not wear a Band-Aid. He was so apoplectic, he did not even point to the right boo-boo on his foot. I put him to bed crying and left the room. We had a cry it out moment. He continued to cry for 15 minutes and brought his crying out to the hallway. He continued to cry it out for another 15 minutes. I stayed strong. I played the firm parent. I did not cave. Then, I heard some walking in the hallway. And then silence. I won!
Later in the evening I went upstairs. I checked on the twins, and they were all sleeping so cutely. I was a great parent. I taugh Court a lesson. I will survive this thing called parenting!

Then I walked into my bathroom. I saw Charmaine's vanity drawer open, and band-aids strewn about. I realized what it happened. I ran down the hall to the twins room. I go and move court sheets and assess his feet. There's a Band-Aid stuck to his left ankle. He is passed out, with a slight smile on his face...
I guess I know who won this battle.

"Martha Speaks" eats breakfast
While eating Cheerios this morning, the Pizz states "if these letters go to your brain, you would say 'ooooooooo oooooooooo!'"
Wonderful use of kiddie lit to make a funny. I giggle uncontrollably. She's more like me everyday!
(Not to mention that I blasted Katy Parry radio this am to wake them up. First song up "Roar!")
BFF!
Found this in Kemper's school folder yesterday...
Super cute!
(Although if they're going to be BFFs, maybe Hadley should learn how to spell the Pizz' name!)

A Little Pizzle Guilt Trip
(Found this post lost in the archives of my phone... It was supposed to have been published in April of this year)
All I did was drop her off at school for a normal day.

Weekend Update!
BabyYarnoz Reboot. Episode 6- Return of the Yarni!
We're back!
So, the other day I had an epiphany. Why wasn't I blogging anymore? The BY Universe had shrunk down to my iPhone and nothing more. No more witty Editor musings or DQ ravings or Pizz cuteness or Twizz shenanigans...
Poof!
I am not sure of all the reasons why my blogging disappeared. Mostly too lazy on my part. No time. Internet snafu! blah blah blah. I lost my way as the Editor. I wasn't sure what this was or what it was becoming. It was a way to tell of all the crazy things that Charmaine and I were going through and life changes. Sort of an online journal... for all the web to read. (But really only the family that cared...) Then Charmaine started publishing the blog, making a sort of yearbook of our lives... It was crazy. Maybe too much pressure to be witty or cute or fun.
Then I drifted away... and went to Facebook... where everything is witty and cute and fun.... Too many selfies, not enough real life craziness. Then I started taking selfies with the kizzles...
Then I realized that we're not perfect. We far from it. We have amazingly hectic lives, that requires 6 simultaneous iCal's to sync, and even then stuff falls down (especially when my "work" iCal doesny sync with CALs phone... whew!) We have stressful jobs, filled with life/death and PressGaney surveys! (Dammit if Im not TOP BOX!!!). We have a 15yo lab that is going blind, deaf and has incontinence of the #2 variety... (better be careful walking the halls at night in the GM). We have three amazing little humans that live down the hall that we don't want to F-up. We shop weekly at SAMs. The Kizzles know the term "Daddy's juice" and "Mommy's juice". There are guns, terror, Time Warner Cable and FoxNews!
So, that leads me back to this blog and what I now realize that it is. It is a way for me to look back on this amazing ride of life. It allows me to use what little shred of humor found in my pinkie toe to poke fun at myself or my wife (sorry babe) or the Kizzles. It lets all of you see that I am not perfect (shocking spoiler alert... sorry), except the stuff that I edit out (muh ha ha ha!!!) It allows me to remember all the crazy stuff that has happened to me.
For that reason, it will never go away!
(cue the Star Wars intro theme... and on to the cuteness!)

The zoo- BY Style
So this past Sunday, ita and wowo gifted us a day at the park!
And what a day is was!
We saw lots of animals. (Photos on my camera; to be posted later)
We had a great lunch with an awesome view.
Then we found a roller coaster! Unfortunately, little Kizzles had to have adult accompaniment. Since we were playing BY Zone defense, The Editor got elected to ride!
Whew! What a day!
But Mila might have been abducted by the bats!

Trimming Down the BY Fleet!
So, we here in BY Universe have always prided ourselves on being lean and
efficient. No junk, frills or extra stuff. If it is not used within a month,
then it gets packed up and given to “somebody who needs it more.” (Editor’s
Note: I have successfully stockpiled/hidden my old pacemaker boxes away
that cannot be found. One day they will come in handy.)
So it was only a matter of time when our fleet of vehicle s would be trimmed down to more efficient levels.
And, so just this past Monday, the 4Runner has been sold to a better home. **sniffle, sniffle** I knew that this day would come, when I would have to sell off another piece of my bachelor days. I knew and still though that I could do this, without getting weepy.
Turns out, I was wrong…. sort of. I am still getting a little misty eyed over the “downsizing”
To review, I have had this car for 13years. I bought it myself as a med
school graduation gift. I still
remember going with Greg to pick it up. I remember driving it through the streets of Atlanta for 3 years. I remember dating Charmaine in it. Even having some tense/deep conversations about our lives. I remember taking Hamilton down to Tampa to live, and another 3 years down there. Driving him to dog parks, with his head hanging out the back hitch window. I am pretty sure I drove it to the restaurant in St Pete to celebrate my engagement. I remember driving it back up to Winston for a year. Buying a trailor hitch in the process and moving. I remember buying bikes with Charmaine. I remember driving her pregnant self to Baptist to start the ghetto echos that would make up this blog. I remember driving down to Wilmington, with Ham in the way back to move into the GM. I remember missing the Market street turn off, and somehow winding up in Wrightsville Beach in the middle of the night. I remember taking the Pizz to daycare in the mornings, playing games and singing to Bieber. (Whew! Glad we don’t sing to him anymore). I remember hauling stuff to the beach house. I remember making the Kizzles wash it to keep it clean. I remember how, whenever we pulled into the driveway, someone yelling “There’s Daddy’s car!”
Whew! Its pretty funny how a piece of machinery becomes a useful/dependable part of ones life. I guess I’m not a bachelor anymore!
